American Architects in Albert Levy's catalogue This is the list of architects that can be found in Albert Levy's catalogue when describing the in the United States.

A survey of the 70' and 80' in contemporary photographas. With a new introduction by Arnold Lewis & notes by Keith Morgan .

It surveys a wide range of notable and curious examples of and interiors, concentrating on the architecture and architects of New York, Boston and Chicago. Originally published in Europe in 1886, it was one of the earliest and mos diversified studies of American architecture in th nineteenh century, an d perhaps the first recognition in Europe of the new forces emerging in American Architecture"

The list of American architects whose buildings were photographed by Albert Levy includes practically the best architects of his time in this country.
Possibly the reason a French-born photographer moved to the USA to photograph these mansions is because some of the most important of them trained at the "Section d'architecture de l'École des Beaux-Arts (ENSBA)." Richard Morris Hunt stands out in particular. André Daly, sons and cie. An expensive project, with 120 photographs in total, which must have had a very limited print run at the time. Highlights include the book American Victorian Architecture.
