Museo Universidad de Navarra.Reazione nera Cajal y el impulso nervioso de la fotografía
La muestra se estructura a partir de dibujos y microfotografías originales realizadas por Ramón y Cajal y una serie de piezas realizadas para esta exposición por Llorens y Mutell a partir de sus propios archivos y fondos fotográficos.
Los artistas y comisarios nos proponen adentrarnos en ellas a través de la visión microscópica, descubrir sus "estructuras neuronales". La intención es suscitar la atención acerca de la estructura de la imagen fotográfica, su estructura física, más cercana, y también la imaginaria y conceptual.
El proyecto sugiere y traza vínculos entre el arte y la ciencia desde el fenómeno de la visión. Este nos habla de la luz, el movimiento y los impulsos que crean la estructura básica de lo que denominamos "fotografía".
The exhibition
The exhibition is structured from original drawings and microphotographs made by Ramón y Cajal and a series of pieces made for this exhibition by Llorens and Mutell from their own archives and photographic collections. The artists and curators offer us to delve into them through microscopic vision, discover their "neural structures". The intention is to raise attention to the structure of the photographic image, its closest physical structure, and also the imaginary and conceptual one.
The project suggests and draws links between art and science from the phenomenon of vision. This one tells us about light, movement and impulses that create the basic structure of what we call "photography".
The exhibition is curated by the artists and curators Martí Llorens and Rebecca Mutell, members of AtelieRetaguardia until its dissolution. Contemporary Heliography (2007-2012), a Barcelona working group dedicated to the study and artistic practice through historical photographic procedures.
