Este pintor fue una de las personas que, en Cataluña, mantuvo una gran actividad artística, fue unos de los primeros en reconocer la importancia de la obra del Greco, amigo de pintores y coleccionista de todo tipo de objetos artisticos como estos que se ven en la foto.
La foto pertenece a un grupo que adquirí en Madrid y que son de la Escuela de Arquitectura de Barcelona en su viaje de estudios de 1901.
El impulsor de estos viajes fue el gran arquitecto modernista Domenech i Montaner, siendo, parece ser muchas de las fotos de su propia mano. En algunas de ellas aparece con su bombín y paraguas.
En esta misma colección tengo el retrato de Rusiñol realizado por Mas y que es una de sus imágenes más conocidas.
Si bien Rusiñol se consideró a si mismo pintor aficionado, sus cuadros se encuentran hoy día en museos y grandes colecciones particulares, sus vistas de Jardines de Aranjuez son muy apreciadas así como las de Barcelona y sus arrabales

The picture belongs to a group that bought in Madrid and who are from the students of the School of Architecture in Barcelona in his study tour of 1901.
The teacher of these trips was the great modernist architect Domenech i Montaner, still, it seems many of the photos were made by his own hand. In some of them Domenech appears with his bowler hat and umbrella.
In the same collection I have a picture of Rusiñol by the photographer studio Mas and is one of his most famous images.
While Rusiñol are considered himself an amateur painter, his paintings are now in museums and major private collections, his views of Aranjuez Gardens are very popular as well as those of Barcelona and its suburbs
