El Rijksmuseum ha sido un museo desde hace mas de 125 años, uno de los grandes museos del mundo.
El tiempo pasó, también para su edificio, las normas museísticas cambiaron y en el año 2004 empezó un largo camino de renovación que culmina con su proxima apertura en Abril de 2013
El trabajo fue encargado a un estudio de arquitectura español: Cruz y Ortiz de Sevilla.( por cierto excelente web con muy buenas imágenes).
Visto en fotografía parece un excelente trabajo de arquitectura digno de un viaje a Holanda para verlo,
