Estos dias estamos conociendo las exposiciones que configuran el certamen de PHOTOESPAÑA 2017 , certamen que cumple 20 años.
Dentro del mismo, el próximo 26 de Mayo abre, en el Lázaro Galdiano, la exposición
A la pata coja. Colección de Eduardo Arroyo.
Son fotografías que cumplen, según nos informan, dos criterios fundamentales
Compradas en mercadillos
El retratado tiene un pie en el aire
Pero, quizás, lo más bonito e interesante de esta exposición sea contrastar con nuestra propia opinión la selección realizada por un artista de la talla de Eduardo Arroyo.
Es decir, ¿hubiéramos comprado nosotros esas fotos ?
Por mercadillos hemos ido, creo, todos los coleccionistas, en ese momento de encontrar fotos hacemos una selección y de ahí mi curiosidad, ¿son buenas fotos? o ¿son fotos de una persona con el pie en el aire?
Responder a esta pregunta justifica, pienso, por sí solo la visita a esta próxima exposición.

.....................Un total de cerca de cien instantáneas se presentan ahora en el Museo Lázaro Galdiano, donde los retratados aparecen con un pie en el aire, que agrupadas sin orden cronológico, constituyen también “un homenaje a la fotografía en equilibrio, a la fotografía con riesgos”. El conjunto es considerable, con una clara preferencia por el blanco y negro o por el color sepia: varios miles de clichés de todos los géneros, de todas las épocas, realizados por fotógrafos profesionales famosos, como Ramón Masats, Cano, Gyenes o los Hermanos Mayo, fotógrafos de agencias de prensa, de estudios fotográficos, pero también por autores desconocidos, no identificados, anónimos. De esta forma, confiere nobleza a la más humilde fotografía abandonada con su propio deterioro. “Es más, los álbumes familiares olvidados nos invitan al interior de una vida ajena”. ............................

El Museo Lázaro Galdiano presenta, gracias al apoyo y colaboración del Museo Nacional de Arte, INBA, de la Ciudad de México, el retrato del polifacético artista plástico y promotor de la cultura mexicana Adolfo Best Maugard (Ciudad de México, 1891 - Atenas, 1964), conocido como Fito Best, pintado por su amigo Diego Rivera durante la estancia de ambos en París.
