(en) Photographer Manrique. Vintage photography Caracas, Venezuela. 1921
This picture represents an elevated view of Caracas in 1921.
It is a photograph of great beauty and quality landscape format which helps to give poetry and melancholy to the picture.
This photo is included in an album that contains-photographically-the visit to Caracas in 1921, of the spanish Infante D. Ferdinand of Baviera
Manrique on this great photographer I have found little data about his life and works. He owned one of the most important studies of Caracas from the late nineteenth century until well into the twentieth century. He was one of the pioneers of color photography in Venezuela and is considered one of the most important pioneers of Latin American photography.
