Eusebio Juliá fue uno de los más conocidos retratistas de Madrid, siendo también uno de los que más éxito económico consiguió , llegando incluso a abrir una sucursal en París. En Madrid tuvo su estudio en la calle Príncipe, abriéndolo en 1855. En su trabajo le ayudo su esposa Sebastiana Vaca. A su muerte en 1895 el estudio paso a Fernando Debás. Su labor se extendió a la importacion de aparatos de fotografía e incluso fue inventor de un aparato para ampliaciones.
Su "Galería de Celebridades " tuvo un gran éxito en su época. Fotografió a literatos como Mesonero Romanos o Hartzenbusch, músicos como Chapi. También realizó fotografías de Venecia.
