.....Esta página del CSIC dedicada al ALPI reúne información sobre el proyecto histórico del Atlas Lingüístico de la Península Ibérica, concebido por Ramón Menéndez Pidal y dirigido por Tomás Navarro Tomás desde el Centro de Estudios Históricos en los años veinte y treinta del siglo pasado, y sobre los trabajos de elaboración y edición que actualmente se llevan a cabo, coordinados desde el CSIC, para publicar sus materiales inéditos.

Esta sección está dedicada a los documentos gráficos obtenidos en el contexto de los trabajos del Atlas Lingüístico de la Península Ibérica que se conservan en el Fondo Rodríguez-Castellano (Biblioteca Tomás Navarro Tomás, CCHS, del CSIC en Madrid). La mayor parte la forman fotografías o dibujos que corresponden a la lista temática para la que los cuestionarios pedían una fotografía o a los esquemas que ciertas preguntas requerían. En la página 50 del Cuaderno II E y en la página 27 del Cuaderno II G figura esta lista encabezada por el título Fotografías:

Entrando en la Galería ALPI, a través de la casilla que figura a la izquierda, la búsqueda se puede combinar con otros datos que aparezcan en el pie de foto, datos referidos a un lugar concreto, a una provincia, a un objeto determinado, etc. Y, tecleando Sujetos, se pueden recuperar las imágenes de muchos de los sujetos de encuesta, los informadores, a quienes debemos las informaciones del ALPI.
