Es una carte de visite agradable donde las dos mujeres posan con las manos juntas para demostrar el afecto que se tienen sin que por ello la foto sea "blanda", posiblemente estemos ante una foto de madre e hija que, sencillamente,muestren asi la ausencia-fallecimiento-del marido y padre.
Son pocos los datos que he encontrado sobre este estudio hasta que conseguí una referencia del centro Artium donde, en una de sus revistas, presentan un breve estudio sobre la obra e historia de este pionero de la fotografía en Vitoria.
Se considera que tuvo uno de los primeros estudios fotograficos en Vitoria pues se estableció en 1857.
Se dedicó antes a la pintura y a dar clases de dibujo.
La firma Bausac y sobrino tuvo una vida corta pues en 1863 dejó de funcionar si bien luego el sobrino intentó seguir con la actividad
- Estaba formado por Pablo Bausac y su sobrino Ruperto Zaldua.

La viuda de éste, asumiría el funcionamiento del estudio fotográfico bajo la firma de Viuda de Zaldua , lo que la convierte en la primera fotógrafa profesional vitoria conocida
