Pues bien, dado que el texto es largo les sugiero, al menos, leer el capítulo dedicado a Asturias para fijarnos en el proceso de documentación fotográfica llevado a cabo en 1926.( pág. 505 y siguientes)
En este podemos leer, por ejemplo:
....Su método de trabajo en los lugares visitados, preparando el terreno con cartas a las fuerzas vivas de ese tiempo: Alcalde,médico y cura.
....Su relación con fotógrafos del lugar:
fue la relación que mantuvo con los fotógrafos locales, como por
ejemplo, José Espolita Ropos de Avilés y que además de fotógrafo era artista y barbero, José González Merás, religioso y fotógrafo de Covadonga, en Gijón conoció al coleccionista y experto Pedro Sánchez. Estos profesionales le proporcionaron no sólo
imágenes suyas o de otros fotógrafos, el caso más destacable fue el de Julián Castellanos en Oviedo al que le compró un gran número de copias procedentes de otro fotógrafo Luis Muñiz-Miranda (1850-1927). ..Como acabamos de ver la fotografía fue una práctica extendida en la región y formaba parte de la vida cotidiana de la comunidad, por lo tanto no fue difícil retratar a un fotógrafo ambulante, ya que siempre estaban presentes en los eventos festivos, que eran los momentos más propicios para el éxito del negocio. De entre todos eligió a uno, se trataba de una mujer. Esta figura anónima con delantal y mangas sobre la camisa, atuendo característico que delató su condición de fotógrafa, se encontraba en Parres durante las festividad en honor a Santa Marina. El encuentro no le resultó sorprendente, tampoco el que fuese una mujer.

El método de trabajo de esta investigadora me lleva, en cierto modo, a compararlo-para su bien- con la actividad fotográfica del Patronato de Turismo, luego Dirección General de Turismo donde las fotos solo llevan el nombre del fotógrafo ( y no siempre) y una mínima identificación del lugar sin más datos del monumento, persona o costumbre fotografiado
