A new device has been invented by flying officer J. G. Armour of the Central Flying School in Wiitering to assist airmen in landings.
It is a smoke bomb carried in a small tube which can be carried in the coat pocket which when dropped gives the pilot the wind direction, thus assisting him to make a safe landing.

Fotografia de agencia que nos presenta como eran los primeros tiempos de la aviacion. En esta caso la foto muestra la prueba de una pequeña bomba de humo que el piloto podia llevar en el bolsillo de la cazadora. Caso de necesitara aterrizar lanza la bomba manualmente al suelo y el humo le indica la direccion del viento facilitando el aterrizaje.
