Fotografia que representa una vista del famoso Castillo de San Angello-Castel Sant'Angelo con el puente sobre el río Tiber de Roma.
En primer término tenemos una barca con dos hombres uno de los cuales esta pescando sentado en la barca con la caña en la mano.
Esta foto nos muesta la dificultad muchas veces de encontrar el autor de la foto dada la similitud de procesos y técnicas con que actuaban los fotógrafos del siglo XIX.
En la Roma de la segunda mitad del siglo XIX habia más de 750 fotógrafos dedicados a recoger vistas de la ciudad para, principalmente, los turistas que hacian el Gran Tour.
Tantos fotógrafos fotografiando a la vez los mismos monumentos hacía que, sencillamente, plantasen, nunca mejor dicho, su cámara en los agujeros donde otro fotógrafo la había plantado anteriormente para coger la misma vista.
Esta una vista de Roma de este tipo, repetida, por fotógrafos artistas o simplemente profesionales. Fotos hechas desde el mismo sitio, luz y con el mismo ángulo, dirigidas al mismo edificio-la mole Adriana. En el Art Courtauld podemos ver dos ejemplos de fotos similares
