Superb picture in which, with difficult simplicity, we show the conditions of peasant life in Spain from 1930-40. A man with his head to the ground, mark us with this simple gesture the difficulty of living in the countryside.

The house is only two openings, the door and a small window. So protect both cold and heat. The tall chimney indicates that the fire was still the element used for cooking and heating the home.

This photo was taken on because I thought that it met the three conditions that we all love and almost never met the three at once:

It was good photo (very good), nice and also cheap.

The photographer, whose name is handwritten on the back, did not have any data. At first I just got information beyond that was a known cinematographer of many Spanish films.

I've subsequently gotten much more data than they put it in its proper place.

The most famous photo of Paniagua entitled "Little House on the world."

His photos were part of the National Tourist Board.

Paniagua became known in 1935 in the journal "Four Seasons", illustrating a text with images of Wenceslao Fernandez Florez.

Finally his business went to the Directorate of Film Photography.
