Fotografía antigua. Albúminas. A trip around Spain.c. 1865. Burgos, Toledo, Córdoba, Granada, Tarragona.
Este grupo de fotos fue encontrado de casualidad, como muchas veces ocurre, en una libería antigua. Corresponde, según comentario del librero, a una compra que realizón en Francia hace años y, no siendo el tema de venta de su librería, las compró por su belleza.
Efectivamente, estas albúminas, son, desde luego bellas o bonitas, pero es que,además, están realizadas por un fotógrafo, desconocido pues no hay ninguna referencia sobre él.
La fecha de realización no es demasiado fácil pienso que se debe situar hacia 1865 pues no se observa la techumbre y las torres del Alcázar de Toledo no estan terminadas.

Las fotos realizadas en el Patio de los Leones nos muestran a los protagonistas de esta historia: Un grupo de hombres y mujeres de mediana edad acompañados de unos sacerdotes, Hermanos de la Salle pienso que son, y un niño.
El trayecto del viaje, o lo que podemos imaginar a la vista de las fotos, recorre dos de los lugares más visitados de la época como son Córdoba y Granada e incluyen Burgos, Toledo y, curiosamente, una foto de Tarragona.
En estos tiempos no era todavia frecuente el fotógrafo del lugar que vendiera fotos a turistas, más propio de otros paises como Italia, y por ello se acompañaron ( o uno lo era) de un fotógrafo.
No tengo datos de este fotógrafo pero era un buen fotógrafo y técnico pues las fotos estan en buen estado de conservación. No olvidemos que las fotos se tenían que revelar "in situ". No existían carrretes ni archivos jpeg para revelar posteriormente.

Patio de los Leones. Al fondo, posando, gente del grupo como se observa al ampliar la foto. Posiblemente el fotógrafo sea la persona que posa afectadamente , entre los dos sacerdotes, la misma, puede ser, que posa en la última foto realizada en el claustro de la Catedral de Tarragona.

El mismo grupo posando, nunca mejor dicho, sobre la Fuente del Patio de los Leones. Como se observa son, casi todos, personas de cierta edad, destacar dos disfrazados de "moro" y un niño. El disfraz de moro posiblemente cedido por algún estudio fotográfico que tuviera su sede dentro o cerca de la misma Alhambra.

Recordemos que en esa época era normal posar apoyado en la fuente del Patio de los Leones.

Fruto de la compra, donación o
producción propia, las fotografías conservadas son de un gran valor para
la investigación, no solo a nivel temático, pues se puede ver la
evolución y la visión distinta que han tenido los fotógrafos a lo largo
de la historia de la fotografía sobre el conjunto monumental de la
Alhambra y el Generalife, y de la ciudad de Granada, sino también desde
un punto de vista técnico, ya que la gran variedad de soportes que se
conservan de material fotográfico, permiten un acercamiento a la
historia de la fotografía y a la de sus autores. Destacar entre los
autores los nombres de Clifford, J. Camino, J. Laurent, Emilio Beauchy,
Garzón, J. Pedrosa, J. García Ayola, Linares, Señan y González, Torres
Molina, Torres Balbas...etc.
El proyecto europeo de colaboración “Red Europea de Museos de Arte Islámico (REMAI)” consiste en la creación de una red europea de museos y colecciones especializadas en la conservación del patrimonio cultural de origen islámico, a partir de los fondos que poseen las instituciones que participan en el proyecto, así como de las estructuras arquitectónicas conservadas in situ en el Conjunto Monumental de la Alhambra y Generalife.
