Coincidiendo con PhotoEspaña 2016 presenta la Fundación Mapfre una selección de series del famoso fotógrafo Hiroshi Sugimoto.
Aunque seguro que ustedes conocen el precio de sus fotos es bueno, creo, situar sus fotos en el mercado .

Una frase de Sugimoto en una de las paredes de la sala nos dice
- No importa cuan falso sea el tema, una vez fotografiado es como si fuera real.
La exposición, posiblemente por casualidad, tenía poco, muy poco público.
Es una cosa a señalar, cuando uno de los grandes fotógrafos del mundo expone en Madrid, entiendo que, los aficionados que puedan deben, debemos a ir a ver sus obras y, así, viéndolas opinar.
Las fotos de Sugimoto son, no cabe dudas, bonitas, y técnicamente muy buenas.
Son fotos, mar-horizonte, escenarios vacíos, retratos falsos que buscan hacernos pensar, según indica el autor:

efecto romántico y casi místico de las obras, sus títulos son objetivos y documentales,
en consonancia con las raíces del artista en el arte conceptual.
Según ha
expresado él mismo, con estas imágenes quiso captar escenas que un hombre
primitivo hubiese podido reconocer, así como reflexionar acerca de lo que nosotros
compartimos hoy con aquellas visiones.......
¿Que opinión personal puedo dar de sus fotos?
Quizás los teatros vacíos me gustan pero, en general, ante sus obras pensamos, podemos ver, que estamos ante un buen fotógrafo pero que, si nos preguntaran si nos gustaría tenerlas colgadas en casa, yo diría que sí al principio pero creo que pronto sería fotos que nos cansarían, que nuestras paredes pedirían "mas vida", "mas foto" y acabaríamos deshaciéndonos de ellas para poner fotos menos conceptuales, más reales.
No me gusta la expresión que voy a utilizar pero, quizás, explique mejor mi opinión:

Perhaps the empty theaters like me, but in general, before his works we think, we can see that this is a good photographer but, if we were asked if we would like to have them hanging at home, I would say yes at first but I would soon be pictures that we get tired, our walls would ask for "more life", "more picture" and would end up getting rid of them to put more real than conceptual photos.
